2014 Pac-12 Championship Game: Oregon faces Arizona in college football schedule

Oregon takes on Arizona in the Pac-12 college football championship game on Friday at the Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California.

The Oregon Ducks (11-1) are on the verge of entering into the first ever college football playoff with a win, while Arizona (10-2) love to derail the hopes of the opponents.

After losing to Arizona several weeks ago, the Ducks climbed back into the path of just going to the National championship. However, along the way the Wildcats are determined to stop the Ducks in the journey to the playoff.

Oregon will have ace quarterback Marcus Mariota to lead the way. He has been the key element for the Ducks to have another successful year. Mariota already has set a Pac-12 record this year by having 48 total touchdowns (36 through pass, 11 through rush and one on reception).

With all the numbers of Mariota, he has to face the defense of Arizona which contained him the past two years. In the game against Arizona this year, Mariota had 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 31-24 defeat. He was sacked and stripped in the last 2:11 of play in the last time he met that defense.

Moreover, Arizona defeated the Duck 42-16 in 2013, in which Mariota had 308 yards and two touchdowns but with two interceptions. Arizona will take this game into another level.
