Preview:

The inaugural College Football Playoff Championship Game features two exciting with high-powered offenses, the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State, will start at 8:30 PM ET at AT&T Stadium, Dallas.

The Ohio State and Oregon Ducks have identical records of 13-1. Both teams won their respective conferences and played in the semifinal round. Ohio State and Oregon have the offensive juggernaut to eliminate each other, each averages more than 500 yards and 45 points per game.

Ohio State will parade its quarterback Cardale Jones for only the third time. It’s a question of how Jones will handle a bigger stage. Jones played great against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Conference game and in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama. Oregon will have Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota who has been running his offense wildly by demolishing Florida State in the Rose Bowl.

While Ohio State has not felt much of losing its two quarterbacks, tailback Ezekiel Elliot was responsible in carrying the team through his power running. Elliot rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns against Wisconsin and 230 and two touchdowns against Alabama. If the Ohio State football has to win, Elliot must elude the defense of Oregon.

Oregon will not have some of his receivers in the game today. Darren Carrington was suspended; Devon Allen and Pharaoh Brown are injured. It’s a matter of adjustment for Mariota in the offensive end. Mariota will have his targets like Byron Marshall, Dwayne Stanford, Keanon Lowe, and Charles Nelson. Evan Baylis is available to play for the Ducks.
