Rain Or Shine trounces Barako Bull

s – Paul Lee had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in a 103-91 victory over Barko Bull on Friday in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Coming off the bench, Lee concentrated on attacking the basket and at the same time finding the open man. He was successful in breaking the defense of Barako Bull. Wayne Chism added 32 points to lead the Painters in scoring.

Rain OR Shine started it right with a 13-point lead at half time, 53-40. The Elasto Painters didn’t stop in building the lead until it climbed to 20 points, 62-42.

While Barako Bull wanted to get back into the game, Chism delivered back-to-back triples to bring back the lead into 20, 70-50, with 6:31 left in the third quarter.

JR Quinahan contributed 12 points while Jeff Chan added 11 points for the Elasto Painters.

Barako Bull import Solomon Alabi had 23 points and 13 rebounds but he was guarding away from the basket to neutralize his defense.

With the win, the Elasto Painters moved into second place, 5-2, tied with Talk ‘N Text.
