Denver Broncos Rumors: Peyton Manning does not need additional offensive players?

If not for the ailing Peyton Manning against the Indianapolis Colts, the Broncos should’ve been in the AFC title game against the Patriots. That is to deny the defense of the Colts that stifled Manning and its offense.

While Manning has plenty of receivers in his target, he is not satisfied with what his weapons until they fit properly to the system. Rumors in the NFL tell that Manning did not consider the Colts defense as the primary reason of Broncos defeat, instead his health.

In the upcoming NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos might be looking for FSU center Cameron Erving to help protect Manning, who was sacked 17 times in the regular season last year. Though the numbers are good enough, Manning tends to slow down towards the end of the season. It would be better for the Broncos to protect Manning at all cost.

Manning would be happy to have Florida State’s Cameron Erving in the Denver Broncos roster. Erving will also be part of the future of the Broncos, even beyond Manning’s career.

In his NFL profile, Erving finished with a 5.8 grade in the Combine. Erving was named first-team All-ACC tackle and third-team All-ACC center after making switch inside toward the end of the 2014 season. He is a two-time winner of Jacobs Blocking Trophy given to the ACC’s top blocker.

The Denver Broncos are to pick 28th in the Draft Order 2015. Will the Broncos land Erving? Manning may not need a receiver anymore with the current roster, but a blocker.
