Green Bay Packers Rumors: TE Maxx Williams to play for Aaron Rodgers?

The Green Bay Packers need plenty of reinforcements to get back not only in the playoffs but also deeper, into the Super Bowl. Two of the Packers top cornerbacks had left and signed with other teams.

Losing cornerbacks Davon House and Tramon Williams will enable the Packers organization to dissect the best available players during the NFL 2015 Draft. House was already taken by the Jaguars amounting to $24.5 million over five years. Williams signed a contract worth $21 million over three years for the Browns. Thus, the Packers will have to enhance the defense to compete with the likes of the Cowboys and Seahawks.

While taking into considerations about acquiring new cornerbacks, the Packers can also improve the offense by adding a tight end in the 2015 Draft. Green Bay is 30th in the Draft Pick 2015 order and according to RantSports rumor story, TE Maxx Williams is a match made in heaven for quarterback Rodgers. But Williams would be picked earlier than the 30th pick as the Broncos are interested in having him also.

In the Combine Results, Williams grade was 5.6 (4.70 seconds in 40 YD dash, 34.5 inch vertical jump, 117.0 inch in road jump, 4.37 sec in 20 yard shuttle.

Quarterback Rodgers will happily welcome the inclusion of Williams. The Packers will be more productive in offense with Williams in the roster. The Packers are hungry of another Super Bowl after it evaded them last season.
