Seattle Seahawks Rumors: Russell Wilson will not return?

Two Super Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl win will not make Russell Wilson worthy of staying in Seattle? The Russell Wilson rumors will not easily get away until the quarterback signs with the Seahawks.

With back-to-back Super Bowl years, QB Wilson expects to have a fat and long contract with the Seahawks. However, negotiations between Wilson and the Sehawks will progress in the next months. General manager John Schneider will have to take a lot of hits if he fails to land Wilson back to the Seahawks.

In a radio interview, CBSSports reported that the statements of Schneider made some of the Seahawks fans scratching their heads. Schneider wants to balance the team by not probably paying Wilson that much.

“Every negotiation is unique in and of itself and this is no different. Ultimate team sport, he’s our quarterback, we’d love him to be our quarterback. But the thing is, we need to keep as many of these guys together as we possibly can. We have to be able to protect ourselves as we go and make smart decisions in trying to keep this whole thing together as long as we possibly can”

There are many interpretations on the statement of Seattle’s GM. We can simply admire him for considering the entire team in making decisions. First, Schneider doesn’t want to give Wilson a luxury contract while the rest of the teams suffers, paying little to others. Secondly, Schneider desires to have strong team that would be able to play in the playoffs and probably in the Super Bowl.

Will Schneider give him the maximum contract? Rumors swirled around that Wilson deserves to have a big contract. In the coming weeks and months, fans are expecting to have Wilson in Seattle.
