Senate Blue Ribbon Committee live stream: Will Trillanes IV show new evidence against Binay?

Manila, Philippines – The Senate Blue Ribbon sub-Committee continues its hearing on P.S. Res. No. 826 which probes the alleged overpricing of the 11-storey new Makati City Hall II Parking Building, the 22-storey Makati City Hall Building and related anomalies today at 10:00 AM.

In addition, PS Re. No. 1114 is added in the sub-committee’s quest for truth. The said resolution deals with the alleged irregular transactions entered into by the Home Development Mutual Fund/ Pag-IBIG Fund and the Boy Scout of the Philippines, under the leadership of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

On Friday, Sen. Antonio F. Trillanes IV said that housing developer Delfin Lee will testify against Vice President Jejomar C. Binay and that he was granted by the court.

In a quick development, the judge handling the syndicated estafa case against Lee has retracted the resolution. The judge already allowed Lee in the earlier resolution.

Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee chairperson Sen. Koko Pimentel said in an interview over DZBB that he got word that the judge handling Lee’s case has reversed the resolution.

“We cannot do anything with that if that is the decision of the judge because he (Lee) is under the custody of the court,” Pimentel said. “I still don’t have a copy of the reversed order,” the senator said.

Trillanes believes that the tentacles of the Binays are extremely inside the judiciary system of the Philippines.

“This last minute flip-flop decision is highly suspicious and irregular. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vice President Binay’s hand is again behind this,” Trillanes said to Temp.
