Nueva Ecija, Philippines – TESDA Chief Joel Villanueva led the blessing and inauguration of the Talavera Agricultural and Social Enterprise Training Center (TASEC) established by Alalay sa Kaunlaran Inc. (ASKI), a TESDA and Coke partner NGO promoting socio-economic development through various financial and non-financial programs and services.

TASEC will serve as training hub for agribusiness courses in the province of Nueva Ecija. It will cater small farmers, micro small and medium entrepreneurs and will venture into partnerships for an opportunity for the farmers to experience hands-on trainings and orientation on farming technologies.

The event was graced by Coca-cola Philippines Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications Atty. Adel Tamano, ASKI officials led by Chairperson and President Alicia Caliwag, Executive Director Rolado Victoria, and Training Institute Director Mary Jane Macapagal.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBNNEWS reports that Villanueva is said to be Aquino’s choice to replace Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., who is being eyed as the new head of the Civil Service Commision, in the communications office.

Villanueva will then have to step down from TESDA to be the head Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOC), to be vacated by Coloma. However, there is no official announcement from President Aquino.
