College World Series 2015: Virginia vs Florida TV Schedule, Preview

The Virginia Cavaliers take on the Florida Gators in the College World Series on Friday at 3:00 PM ET at the TD Ameritrade, Omaha, Nebraska.

Virginia’s ace pitcher Nathan Kirby will take the mound Friday afternoon. Kirby hasn’t pitched a game since straining a muscle in his throwing arm in April. Kirby is about to bring the Cavaliers into the national championship series with a win. Though Kirby is not anticipated to through deep into the game, he would be able to provide the lift in shutting down the batters of the opposing teams.

Virginia defeated Florida on Monday through Brandon Waddell’s magnificent outing at the mound. He allowed just two hits in seven innings before turning it to Josh Sborz for a shutdown closing. While Virginia looks for another win, it wouldn’t be easier this time because the Gators played strong against Miami on Wednesday in an elimination game. The Gators pulled off the three longes homers in stadium history last Wednesday.

Logan Shore (10-2, 2.55 ERA) will start for the Gators, who might carry that dominant and powerful showing against Miami.

If the Virginia Cavaliers win, they will be in the CWS championship series. If the Florida Gators win, they will meet the Cavaliers again in a do-or-die game.
