NBA Free Agency 2015 Rumors: LaMarcus Aldridge is gone, Lakers as the primary destination?

The Portland Trail Blazers feel that their all-star forward LaMarcus Aldridge is on the verge of leaving. Just even months ago, Aldridge was already contemplating of getting out of the Blazers even with a five-year deal worth $100 million.

Rumors float around as the NBA Free agency hits on July 1 and Aldridge could enter into a new era of his career after spending nine years with the Blazers. If Aldridge would be leaving Portland, where would be his destination?

One of the hottest teams in pursuit for Aldridge are the Los Angeles Lakers. With their tradition of winning and storied history, the Lakers are intently trying to recruit some of the best free agents in the market, most especially Aldridge. While the Lakers are in rebuilding process after Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard decided to leave, Aldridge will be a good fit in the system of Byron Scott.

Moreover, Aldridge might find himself as the main man after Kobe Bryant retires at the conclusion of the 2015-2015 season. Furthermore, Aldridge will be included in the much-treasured history of the gold and purple team. With the No. 2 draft De’Angelo Russell and Bryant, the Lakers would be able to compete in the Western Conference assuming that Aldridge will be part of it.
The San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks are also in the chase for Aldridge but the Lakers are on top of everything.
