NBA News and Rumors: Miami Heat to offer Goran Dragic a 5-year year contract worth $80 million

The NBA free agency 2015 continues to be the part of the conversation as the NBA Draft approaches. In one of the hottest NBA free agency updates, the Miami Heat are reportedly going to offer point guard Goran Dragic a five-year, $80 million dollar deal after he avoids his player option for next season and becomes a free agent.

Dragic was acquired by the Heat from the Phoenix Suns before the trade deadline in February. According to ESPN Marc Stein, the Heat plan to offer him a contract that they can only offer in years, not a maximum contract, which would exceed $100 million. Dragic will become a free agent on July 1.

Dragic played for 26 games with Miami last season. He averages 16.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 34.8 minutes per game. He and Dwayne Wade are two of the best guard-combination in the NBA.

With Dragic in the roster, the Heat are better offensively. Coach Erik Spoelstra can utilize the duo of Dragic and Wade effectively.
