In a close, hard-fought series, the Blackhawks displayed their championship pedigree once again in a Game 5 win and are headed home with a chance to raise the Cup. Blackhawks won 2-1.

The Chicago Blackhawks face the Tampa Bay Lightning in tonight’s Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals at 8:00 PM ET at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

When it comes to the status of goaltender Ben Bishop, the Lightning are quiet about it. The Lightning don’t know if he will be back in Game 5. However, coach Jon Cooper is confident in the 20-year-old rookie backup Andrei Vasilevskiy.

On the postseason, Tyler Johnson remains to be on top of points with 23 (13 goals and 10 assists) while Nikita Kucherov follows through with 22 (10 goals and 12 assists). Alex Killorn and Stamkos have 18 points apiece. Meanwhile, Ondrej Palat has eight goals and eight assists in the playoffs for the Lightning.

The Chicago Blackhawks continue to put the pressure on Tampa Bay. The Blackhawks will have another opportunity to be on top of the series. Patrick Kane and the Blackhawks look to dislodge the mighty Lightning in tonight’s Game 5. Though Kane understands how to play in the Finals, he has scored a goal in this series.
