Los Angeles Lakers News and Rumors: Favorable schedule for 2015-2016 released?

The Los Angeles Lakers 2015-2016 was released to the public on Wednesday. With the imminent retirement of star Kobe Bryant, the Lakers hope to be in the playoffs this season. However, the rise of the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific division would need the Lakers to thread a needle to get into the playoffs.

Despite coming off their worst season, the Lakers still possessed a big draw with Bryant in the roster. The Lakers got 19 national television slots in ABC, ESPN and TNT, in comparison to the New York Knicks with only seven appearances in the national television. Surprisingly, the 19 games are not far in to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors with 25 each.

The main attraction for the Los Angeles Lakers will always be the superstar guard Bryant, who turns 37 this month. Bryant is entering his 20th season in the NBA and with the Lakers. Moreover, this is the final year of his contract. Many believe, including GM Mitch Kupchak, that this is the last season of Bryant.

The Los Angeles Lakers will start the 2015-2016 NBA season on October 28 as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center. The No. 1 overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns will see the No. 2 overall pick D’Angelo Russell.

Here are some games to watch from the Lakers’ 2015-16 schedule:

• Oct. 28 vs. Minnesota
• Nov. 8 at New York
• Dec. 23 vs. Oklahoma City
• Dec. 25 vs. the Clippers
• Jan. 5 vs. Golden State
• Feb. 8 at Indiana
• March 10 vs. Cleveland
• March 13 vs. New York
• April 3 vs. Boston
• April 13 vs. Utah

As expected, the Lakers will have yet another Christmas Day game, this time against the Los Angeles Clippers.
