2016 Tony Awards Live: TV Channel Schedule, Start Time

Tony Awards features the biggest names in Broadway theatre in which awards are handed for productions and performances for 2015-2016. Tony Awards will start at 8:00 PM on Sunday, live streaming on TonyAwards.com and CBS.com/allaccess. Tony Awards tv channel schedule is on NBC.

The 70th Tony Awards will be hosted by James Corden. The show features high quality performances from the 2016 Tony-nominated best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical Shows. Some of the performers in tonight’s Tony Awards are “Shuffle Along,” “She Loves Me,” “School of Rock,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The Color Purple, “Hamilton”.

Tony Awards will be have a different atmosphere this time because of the Orlando shooting. Tony Awards organizers have released their statement Sunday morning saying,

“Our hearts are heavy for the unimaginable tragedy that happened last night in Orlando,” the organizers said. “Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected. The Tony Awards dedicate tonight’s ceremony to them.”

“Tonight, every note I sing will be in remembrance of the lives taken in Orlando,” actress and Tony nominee Laura Benanti tweeted Sunday afternoon.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s smash hit musical “Hamilton” with a record 16 nominations, grabbing at least one in just about every category it could be nominated.
