President Duterte Inauguration 2016: No Classes? Start Time, Live Stream, TV Channel Schedule

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will be inaugurated on Thursday, June 30, start time at 10:30 AM ET, at the Malacanang Palace, Manila, Philippines.

Duterte outlasted his opponents in huge margins in the recently-concluded May 11 national elections in the Philippines. Duterte is the first mayor to jump into the presidential race and won the election.

Leaders of congress, judiciary, and the members of diplomatic corps are among those invited to the simple and unique inauguration as the 16th president of the Philippines.

Also, the inauguration day of Duterte was not declared a holiday, and the classes and works are going to flow normal. Duterte’s guest list was cut down to 627 as the inauguration will take place in Malacanang. Traditionally, the president’s inauguration was conducted in the spacious Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park. However, Duterte decided to be different. Furthermore, Duterte will have a separate inauguration with the vice president-elect Leni Robredo.

Duterte is expected to arrive in Malacanang at 10:30 AM PST. Duterte will take his oath at 11:45 AM at the Rizal Hall.
