Tom Brady completed 24 of 40 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns to lead the New England Patriots in beating the San Francisco 49ers, 30-17, on Sunday.
With Brady finding his receivers, including a 56-yards TD pass to Malcolm Mitchell that sealed the game, the Patriots have improved to 8-2. Mitchell finished with 98 yards in four receptions. Without TE Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman contributed 77 yards and a touchdown in eight receptions while James White added 63 yards and a touchdown in six catches.
New England’s offense was totally wrecking havoc against the Niners. LeGarrette Blount rushed for 124 yards in 19 carries while Dion Lewis added 23 yards in five runs.
Colin Kaepernick threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns in 16-for-30 passes, and added 32 yards on the ground. Carlos Hyde was able to run for 86 yards in 19 carries. In receiving, Vance McDonald posted 46 yards and a touchdown in three receptions while Shaun Draughn added 43 yards and a touchdown in three catches.
San Francisco dropped into 1-9 for the season as the team continues to struggle.
The Patriots will take on the New York Jets next week on Sunday Night Football.
