Bulls face Celtics in the first round of NBA playoffs

The Chicago Bulls play the Boston Celtics in one of the most anticipated First Round series in the NBA on Sunday, start time at 6:30 PM ET, at TD Garden.

The Chicago Bulls (41-41) have won seven of their last nine games to enter into the playoff. As a matter of fact, the Bulls won the No. 8 spot in the final day when they defeated the Brooklyn Nets.

On the season, the Bulls are averaging 102.9 points, 46.3 rebounds and 22.6 assists per game. On the defense, the Bulls are giving up 102.4 points per game against the opposing teams.

Four players are scoring at least 10.4 points per game for the Bulls, they are: Jimmy Butler (23.9), Dwayne Wade (18.3), Nikola Mirotic (10.6) and Robin Lopez (10.4). Butler leads also in steals with 1.9 while Rajon Rondo tops in assists with 6.7 per game. Robin Lopez leads in blocks with 1.4 per game.

The Boston Celtics (53-29) have won their last three games and captured the No. 1 seed in the final game of the regular season. Though seeded No. 1, the Celtics are very vulnerable against the Bulls.

On the season, the Celtics are averaging 108.0 points, 42.0 rebounds and 25.2 assists. Defensively, the Celtics are yielding 105.4 points against the opposing teams.

Five players are averaging at least 10.6 points per game for the Celtics, they are: Isaiah Thomas (28.9), Avery Bradley (16.3), Al Horford (14.0), Jae Crowder (13.9) and Marcus Smart (10.6) per game. Thomas leads in points with 28.9 and in assists with 5.9 per game. Horford leads in rebounds with 6.8 and in blocks with 1.3 per game. Smart leads in steals with 1.6 per game.
