Kevin Love scored 28 points in 9-for-18 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from the free throw line as the Cavaliers demolished the Orlando Magic, 122-102, on Tuesday night.
Love played for 28 minutes and exploded by posting 5 three-pointers and 11 rebounds to totally be the anchor on both sides of the floor for Cleveland. Also, LeBron James had a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to compliment the output of Love. Kyrie Irving produced 24 points and eight assists.
The Cavs delivered an 18 three pointer including a 5-for-8 shooting from J.R. Smith who finished 19 points. Kyle Korver was also hot from outside the arc with his three three-pointers.
On the other hand, the Magic were in control of the game in the first half, 55-53, but they were outscored 43-20 in the third quarter. Evan Fournier scored 21 points while Aaron Gordon, Terrence Ross and Elfrid Payton each had 12 points.
With the win, the Cavaliers are virtually tied with the Boston Celtics at 50-17 record in the Eastern Conference, setting up an all-important showdown between them on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Tristan Thompson will be having an MRI today after injuring his thumb against the Magic. The center did not travel with the team in going to Boston.
