Falcons play Panthers, battle of the last two NFL MVPs

The defending NFC Champions Atlanta Falcons will face the Carolina Panthers in a crucial NFL game on Sunday, kick off time at 1:00 PM ET.

This game is very important because of the tight battle in the NFC South in which the New Orleans Saints are surging. Furthermore, the Falcons-Panthers is a game that features the previews two MVPs namely Matt Ryan of Atlanta and Cam Newton of Carolina.

Boris “Bubs” Malloy, sports analyst at MyTopSportsbooks.com opinion on this game is:

“of all the units playing in this game, I only have confidence in the Panther defense. Carolina hasn’t allowed an offensive touchdown in the last two games, and should be able to keep Matt Ryan uncomfortable all day.”

Atlanta is currently in third place of the division with a 4-3 record. Though it is a different season from last year in which they entered the Super Bowl, Ryan is struggling so far by throwing 1,844 yards and nine touchdown against six interceptions, contrary to throwing seven picks the entire 2016 season.

On the season, the Falcons average 21.9 points and 374.4 total yards per game. Defensively, the Falcons yield 21.7 points and 320.6 total yards per game.

Carolina is entering this game with a 5-3 record being led by Newton. The quarterback has 1,841 yards and 10 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. In Newton’s 2015 MVP season, he had only 10 picks. Thus, Newton must carry by throwing accurate passes.

On the season, the Panthers average 18.5 points and 311.0 total yards per game. Defensively, the Panthers yield 17.8 points and 264.0 total yards per game.

Which team do you think will win? Which quarterback will play like a MVP?
